Vue Tracker — Inventory Dashboard

After my first taste of Vue.js, I wanted to go further — this time with a real application idea and a proper UI library behind me. That's when I came across PrimeVue, a comprehensive component library built specifically for Vue (but not only), and I was immediately taken with the idea of having polished, production-ready components on hand instead of building everything from scratch.

The result is a two-page inventory dashboard — the kind of tool a small team might use to manage its stock and get a quick visual overview of its data. Most of the UI came together fast thanks to PrimeVue's data tables and form components, and with Chart.js I added a few charts to visualize the numbers. The whole thing was largely functional in about two days.

Responsiveness wasn't a goal here — the hypothetical use case was a wide desktop screen. But the pace was impressive. A mature UI library meant I could focus almost entirely on the logic and the data, instead of rebuilding dropdowns and modals.

That shift in perspective has stuck. From this project on, reaching for a good UI library became a natural part of how I approach new tasks — including the projects I build today.
